Our academy is specifically for students in disadvantaged situations who would otherwise never have an opportunity like this.
We welcome students who either come from a low-income family, are living in a vulnerable home environment, or are striving to choose positive hobbies instead of harmful behaviors.
Key characteristics that we look for in applicants:
Enthusiastic: with a genuine curiosity or interest for music in some way, shape or form
Open to Learning: a willingness to learn and an open mind. Receptive to feedback from instructors and eager to explore different genres and techniques.
Community-Minded: values the sense of community within the academy, supportive of their peers, collaborative, and contributes positively to the learning environment.
Respectful: towards instructors, peers, and learning
